Ask Silverwood – How to Make a Small Kitchen Look Bigger

Listen to Josh on how Silverwood's designers utilize clever design techniques to make a small kitchen feel larger. By taking the cabinetry to the ceiling, the entire wall height becomes extra storage. Implementing the inside of the cabinets and drawers with storage solutions like roll-outs and pull-outs will maximize the use of space. Add some open shelves that feel airy and provide easy access. Incorporate glass cabinet doors; smart usage of lights and low contrast colours all help reflect light and make the room appear open and spacious. Connect the countertop and backsplash for a cohesive look or line up tiles horizontally or vertically to make the room feel wider or taller, respectively.
